Vintage B&D Electric Drill

Hi everyone

I haven't published anything on Artstation for a long time, because I've been working as a freelancer for the last year, and the NDA doesn't allow me to publish my work here. This time I wanted to make old props and practice texturing.

Technical Details: 8.9k triangles, 4k texture resolution.

First I created a highpoly model in Fusion 360, then I made chamfers in ZBrush. In Maya, I did lowpoly model, uv in RizomUV, baking in Marmoset Toolbag 4 and textures in Substance Painter. The final visualization was performed in the Marmoset Toolbag.

Vintage Black & Decker Special 1/2 Electric Drill. A century ago, the company Black + Decker Manufacturing Co. developed and applied for a patent for a portable drill with a diameter of ½ inch, which could be operated by one person. He had a pistol grip with trigger control. Since then, both functions have been performed on electric drills. Drill Black + Decker was the first time that an electric drill became a lightweight and portable tool. Among the buyers of the store was the gun manufacturer Colt. The pistol grip and trigger of the Colt pistol inspired engineers to create a new drill.

For some reason I don't understand, the model looks too shiny in the Marmoset viewer, although in the source file everything looks the same as in the presented renderers.
